JESC: Gianluca Cilia to Shine Bright for Malta!

Earlier in the Junior Eurovision season, we reported on the shortlist of 20 acts which were to be reduced to a total of 10 for the Maltese National Final. The national final was to select the artist, and the song that the winner will sing will be released at a later date.

Here are the 10 finalists:

• Gianluca Cilia

• Kira Copperstone

• Riona Degiorgio

• Rianne Demicoli

• Aidan Jay Drakard

• Demi Galea

• Kylie Meilak

• Veronica Rotin

The winner was chosen by televoting, and the top three acts were:

• Gianluca Cilia

• Veronica Rotin

• Rianne Demicoli

This marks the first time since 2008 that we’ll be seeing a male performer representing Malta! The pressure is on for Gianluca, who has to follow 4 years of incredible Junior Eurovision results, with two wins, a 4^th and a 6^th place.
